I grew up in the valley of Kingsdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, one road in - one road out and the nearest shop was about five miles away. Surrounded by spectacular countryside I would explore the woodland and moorland.

I now live in the borough of Wyre on the Fylde coast. I trained for my higher National Diploma in Garden Design at the nearby, renowned Myerscough College. Gardening had always been a hobby until I took the role as a Gardener for an estate in Yorkshire. Since then I have looked after both large and small gardens around the Fylde.

This contrast in environments gives me a unique awareness of space and perspective which strengthens the fact that no matter how small a space is we should use it to the best of its potential.
